The Silver Valley has a multitude of winter, summer and off season activities. Ride the world's longest gondola in the winter for skiing or take a mountain bike up the gondola in spring, summer, or fall for a 4000 foot vertical descent on single and double track trails Silver Mountain Resort. You can also ski nearby at the Idaho/Montana border at
Lookout Pass, or at 4th of
July
Pass
between Kellogg and
Coeur d’Alene.
Cool down at the Silver Rapids Indoor Water Park at Silver Mountain.
Golfing is only a stone's throw away at Shoshone Golf
Course. View the golf course from most rooms in the house. Shoshone Golf & Tennis Club or travel a short distance to the course in Pinehurst, Pinehurst Golf Course/Kellogg Country Club.
Bike riding, besides the gondola ride and descent at Silver Mountain Resort, is plentiful. Ride the 72 mile paved scenic Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes. You will cross the trail on the way up to the retreat
from I90. Another great mountain bike
ride is the Route of the Hiawatha.
The
Silver
Valley
is rich in
history. Visit a real silver mine, Sierra Silver
Mine, out of the scenic Historic Town of Wallace Idaho or a gold mine Crystal Gold Mine located
near the Retreat.
